Fitbit not syncing properly

My Charge 5 is only partially syncing - it's getting steps but not updating sleep, hours active etc. So yesterday I had 9 active hours on my device but the app is showing 2. This is since yesterday - I've tried restarting and updating the app but no luck.

I appreciate all the information that you've shared about the difficulty you're experiencing with your Charge 5.

If you're still having any issues, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems, and make sure to check the compatibility requirements listed here and to keep the Fitbit app updated to the latest version available. 

In case it's an issue related to the app, please try the following as well: 

  • Log out from the app.
  • Clear Cache for the Fitbit app on your phone's settings (Settings > Apps > Fitbit app > Storage > Clear cache)
  • Restart your phone. 
  • Log back in to check if you're able to see the tile. 
  • Try to set up your Charge 5 as a new device in your account if you're still having the same problem.

Hmm I've logged out and followed the other steps and now it won't let me log back in! Getting an error message 'something went wrong please try again later'. Oh dear!
