Fitbit stopped recording sleep data

My Charge 5 stopped recording sleep data on May 10th. It is tracking time and steps just fine. I have reset it three times to no avail. The battery is fully charged. I have not used the “begin sleep now” feature. It has tracked my sleep for at least a year to date and no settings have been changed.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Hmtonn!

Sad to hear that you're having issues with sleep tracking on your Charge 5. To improve sleep tracking results, it's always a good idea to set up a sleep schedule. You might also try if changing the sleep sensitivity setting will deliver more reliabla tracking. Have a look here to see how that's can be done:

How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?

Thanks, I’ll look into those things. But it had been tracking my sleep every night for close to 2 years without having to set these extra things up. I have to say I’m really disappointed in the Charge 5 compared to the Charge 4. I miss the stairs function a lot. The Charge 5 has way too many useless functions that keep getting in the way. It is less responsive than the Charge 4 was. And they still haven’t added rowing to the list of activities it tracks.

You're welcome, @Hmtonn!

As calculating sleep data is done on the backend, there may always be changes in the corresponding algorithms.
Please keep in mind, that what might be annoying to you as it had worked until now, may be an overall improvement on sleep tracking accuracy that now needs adjustment on client side.
