My Charge 5 seemed to hiccup yesterday and would not sync. This morning I noticed and reset the device.
The device is showing steps now which match the app but nothing else is updated. Looking back I have no activity data (heart rate, hourly steps, sleep tracking since noon yesterday until 9am today. Even though hourly stesp don't show the daily total of 18,000 steps is correct.
I think my charge 5 has more data than the dashboard, for instance it shows I have made at least 250 steps for every hour this morning while the dashboard doesn't seem to kow about activity before 9am.
If I sync nothing changes. Is there a way to force a full re-sync? Is the missing data still on the fitbit or has it gone, do I just have to write off those 20 hours?

Hi, @Moonwolf, welcome, if you used the restart button on the device "settings" you should not have lost data. How do Fitbit devices sync their data? gives the details of syncing. I find that I sometimes need to sync twice to get data, the process in some data streams is that on the first sync, the raw data is passed to the Fitbit server for crunching and the second syncing gets the processed data back.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

Nope, that hasn't done it, I have re-synced multiple times. No detail data, only the total steps are included. It knows I walked for 1hr 3 minutes from 7:32 this monring but 0 of 7,879 steps and 0 zone minutes earned.
The same walk yesterday has 6,494 of 18,285 steps taken and 35 zone minutes, it also has heart rate and calorie data.
It seems I have lost 20 hours data, and if Fitbit doesn't understand how annoying that is, it doesn't understand how fitbit is used.
