Why won’t friends steps and my steps update in the friends column?

Hello & welcome @boom5117 

I suspect the reason why you're not seeing your friends steps is Google account vs Fitbit account. If you migrated your Fitbit account to Google and your friends haven't done that yet, you won't see their steps. It's the same if they migrated to Google and your account is still a Fitbit one.
