Every single time I go for a run and wish to pause for a break, when I resume literally every single run, I end up tapping finish instead! Why? I tried tapping once and waiting to see any prompts being extra cautious, nothing and tried one tap again, still nothing. Alright, I'll double-tap, WHAT!?! So that double-tap to wake the screen ended up also tapping finish. I'm super annoyed. Even if I tried to enable auto-pause, it helps but is not a feature I need, especially if you are out for a long break, e.g. groceries.

Thank you for bringing this up. I started noticing this issue too. Stopped during a run to talk with a neighbor, paused my workout, but when I tried to resume, it had ended my run and I had to restart Run mode. Annoying to get two numbers I have to add together to get mileage and then average time as well. And it's not the first time it happened. Like you, I thought it was user error.

Thanks. I'm glad I'm not the only one. It is super frustrating. Temporarily I have been using my Garmin watch which has more advanced features and analytics for running. Temporary because I like how Fitbit integrates sleep and exercises and provides your day's outlook. It's the only thing. Wearing two watch looks a little ridiculous but I don't think I will care.

Are you still wearing two watches? How's it working out? I can't imagine doing that because even one being on my wrist most of the time bugs me. As a petite woman, I stepped down in size from a basic Fitbit Versa, which never went wacky like the Charge 5 has, btw, simply because the size of it irritated my wrist/arm. I've looked at Garmins and understand they're better. Just don't like the look or the size, nor do I need a slew of running metrics. And as you mentioned, I value the sleep info on Fitbit, as well as the readiness score. So many smart watches out there, and not one really doing the job I need in the package I want. Sigh.

Yeah, I realised I cannot have two best features in one unless Google buys Garmin. On my long runs, I cannot leave without my Garmin. Yet, I don't think I can leave without my Fitbit cause I think it needs to be synchronised with your activities to produce the right sleep scores. But then again, after some thought, I actually won't be bringing my Fitbit for my longer runs because Garmin is much more accurate and reliable, so if I need to analyse my day's run, sticking with Garmin is better.
