GPS Turns Off in Running activity

Hi Team,

Facing this issue very frequently now. When I start running within 10 minutes the display pops out with GPS turned off message. GPS is turned ON in device setting as well as in Run activity also.

As far as I know, 10 minutes is a cut-off time for GPS trying to connect. If GPS won't connect within 10 minutes it will stop trying. The GPS turned on doesn't mean it's gets connected.

Hi,

I was using another Charge 5 before and I didn’t see any issues during that
time and GPS was connected it wasn’t off during Run activity.
This time I’m using a new Charger 5 and this device GPS was turned off
during Run.

@Karthik_Sarma it will turn off if won't manage to connect. Do you see that GPS connected before you start running? Or it shows that it's still connecting?

GPS was turned on in Device setting as well as in Run options.

@Karthik_Sarma I think we don't understand each other. ON doesn't mean CONNECTED. Let's retrace the steps:

- You turn the GPS on

- You start Run

- Watch tries to connect the GPS

- You should eventually see that it's connected (I don't know how Charge 5 indicates GPS status but probably by showing "Connecting" and "Connected" or some icons)

- If GPS doesn't connect within 10 minutes it gives up and turns GPS Off.

Your problem is that GPS didn't manage to connect with satellites within 10 minutes cut-off time given by Fitbit. I don't know how to explain it more simpler.
