My fitbit charge 5 won't charge. I did everything that I read on the internet in order to fix it, but it still won't charge. I tried to clean it, change the charger, plug, I also did the 3 clicks in order to reboot the system but is only vibrates and it shows the logo of fitbit. The screen is black and does not reveal the charging sign. I bought it 2 months ago and don't know what to do. Any help? I would appreciate your reply.

My Fitbit is 3 months old and will not hold charge. This is the second charge 5 I have had in past 9 months that is doing the same thing. When I charge it the logo appears and it will charge but it will run down in an hour or so. I have restarted it and still nothing. I’m starting to think the charge 5 is defective. I love the Fitbit brand but refuse to purchase another charge 5. Anyone have any suggestions

Check your battery level on the app. Mine was charging even when the screen was dead and it showed in the app.
You need to call customer service and they will advise you to charge to 100% and wait until it drains to 0% so they can observe it remotely. If it drains in shockingly short time they may offer you a like for like replacement because you are covered by the 12 months warranty.
To contact customer service you need to choose your account on the app and then go to help and support tab.
good luck!
PS There are plenty of other threads on Community discussing this topic. Quite extreme that Fitbit does nothing about it with so many customers affected.

I’m having a similar issue that just started yesterday. My Charge 5 won’t hold a charge. I charged it to 100% last night before bed and the app even said it was charged to 100% but when I woke up this morning the screen was black so I plugged it in and it was completely dead. I hope this issue is fixed soon.

The earliest posts I have seen are from July 2022 and it doesn’t look like they’ve been able to address the problem since (apart from giving away replacement devices which break again).
To be fair, I could not see that they admitted there is a problem at all…

You are correct - no admission of a problem. I kept thinking I did something odd that caused issues and then trying to figure out. I do wonder if the GPS is the issue because even on my phone it drains the battery - so if i go on a long run - it would seem that it would do same on Fitbit. But regardless - i have had mine a year, 4 replacements and now they say warranty expired - even though i did not get a year's worth of use waiting for replacements to arrive etc. The CHarge 3 worked great and had no GPS.
Recommend you send back before warranty is up - they do not seem to care about the ruining of their brand.
