I purchased by Fitbit Charge 5 in Georgia about 4 months ago. I am now running in DC and yet the map is still showing Georgia. Needless to say past 4 runs have NOT been captured accurately. Is there any way to reset Fitbit's understanding of where it is??

Hi, thank you for sharing this information about the trouble you've been experiencing with your Charge 5, @Runtime.
If the GPS is getting disconnected during your activity, the Charge 5 may track different information for the the distance or the location. Before considering other options, make sure to follow the steps suggested in this article.
All devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. In particular, please make sure of the following:
If you continue to experience the same behavior and your GPS is getting disconnected or if it's still showing you the wrong location in your maps, make sure to try following the steps listed in this article to complete a three pulse restart with the charging cable, as this has been useful for other users experiencing something similar.
I'll be around.

I think this may have worked! I think the factory default was set to gps via my device - I run with my phone and the dynamic string seems to have worked - thx!
