Google has just introducted Charge 6 and I feel Charge should also be upgraded to support apps which charge 6 is supporting as Charge 5 harware is also capable. However, I do not thonk Google care about existing charge 5 customers and as Charge 6 is out now, will never provide any update for Charge 5.

Hello @Meetbrahm88 and welcome to the Community.  As a long time user, I've seen new devices with upgrades over previous models.  With respect to adding new features to older devices, I think I can count the number of times this happened on one hand.  Users complain that this is a marketing tactic to urge you to upgrade.

As for firmware updates in general, Fitbit says it typically can release updates for two years after a device is sold on fitbit.com.  Legacy Device Policy  Fitbit released an update for the Charge 5 (and other devices) in July.  I think Fitbit halted the release.  My Sense 2 never got the update and it has the bad habit of bricking Charge 5s.
