Google Wallet for Charge 5 works!

Just wanted to let y’all know that I randomly got Google Wallet to work on my Fitbit charge 5. It’s been a long time coming and I figure they just pulled the plug on Fitbit Pay? Finally those of us in Canada can use this!

Uhhhh spoke too soon. Every time I try to use it for tap payment it doesn’t work and then my Fitbit goes black and unresponsive. Any ideas?

Was going to ask you how until I saw your next post. Let us know if you figure this out. I upgraded from the Charge 2 only last year, especially for this payment function. Support told me to either upgrade to a Google Wallet Fitbit, or to wait until Google adds it to my Charge 2. I'm not a gambler, especially with Google. So, I want Google to refund  or upgrade my Fitbit.

So… I contacted support who told me to factory reset and then readd the card to my wallet. I will give it a test later today to see if it works.

I didn’t do anything crazy to get it to initially work - since fitbit switched over to Google now, when I accessed the charge from the Fitbit app the Fitbit pay switched to Google wallet automatically and let me set up a card.

How did it work eventually 

I did reset factory to my device and removed the app, and installed it again.

I still dont have the option...

I got to support today, and they told me it's impossible.

Could you do a small screenshot with Google Wallet and Charge 5? (all the personal stuff blurred ofc)

Would really appreciate it, thank you! (I would really like that feature, and if it's behind some beta testing bs I want them to tell me straight :D)

You can ignore my request found confirmation in another post. Support had just no information. I believe they should give them some heads up.
