Google wallet charge 5 doesn't work

Been trying for 2 days to get this to work. Fitbit pay worked fine, but google wallet errors out. Bank was useless. Visa was even less help. Been calling in circles all day. I have the card added in the wallet, but get an error when I try to add it to Fitbit. Can't go back to Fitbit pay. This is one of the reasons I have owned Fitbits. This is ridiculous! Anyone have a successful fix?

I have added my card in the wallet but it doesn't work. All my payments are rejected. However, I can pay with the same card over the phone and Google Wallet. I don't understand.

I have exactly the same. Can't link my cards in Google wallet to my charge 5. Just errors. What's the point of a feature that doesn't work!

I updated to Google wallet last night and the first time I tried using it this morning my Fitbit completely died. It won't do anything. I'm hoping when I get home and can connect the charger that it will come back to life.  I'd hate to think Google wallet bricked it.

June 8, 2024... Fitbit pay finally failed to authorize a payment for the first time today, since i have been aware this change was coming for several months.   Bear in mind, Fitbit pay had worked perfectly for years until today -- so i intentionally delayed authorizing this "update".  Incidentally, i have had the exact same card on Google wallet already for years, as has also been on Fitbit pay as well these last couple of years.  So, back at home, i finally surrendered against my better judgement to "update to google wallet."   Suddenly, the card that is ALREADY on Google wallet and had been used for YEARS successfully on Fitbit pay, errors out with a pop-up message "this card can not be used for tap payment on your device".  Bravo, ya Google shtbgs

Same what happened to me.

I should not buy fitbit

No fixes, unfortunately fitbit has apparently no clue or no willingness to solve it. Have been waiting for a long time for a fix. I don't believe it will be happening....next watch will not be a fitbit
