Gps working, but fitbit no longer calculates distance moved in a day

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So the watch use to total the distance moved in a day either based on gps or strides vs steps, this is no longer happening. When I track activity the gps works so it’s not that. I’ve restarted various times and I’ve tried different gps settings. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions would be greatly received.

My Charge records steps not miles. Works in Exercise mode. Reset 3 times.

Hello @SunsetRunner & @Mshmp

There is currently an issue where users are not seeing distance tracked in the Fitbit app. The team is aware of the problem.

One user noticed that they saw distance tracking again when they disabled automatic stride length and manually entered a stride length. Several other users reported that this workaround worked for them. If you would like to try this workaround, this help article has the steps on how to manually set the stride length in the Fitbit app  (<-- click link).

Please let us know if this workaround works for you, if you try it.

Hopefully, it won't take too long to get a fix so we won't have to use a workaround.
