Has anyone ever removed the charge 5 watch band bracket?

My charge 5 watch band bracket ear that holds the band on has broken off. Customer service was no help. They said it was out of warranty. Another forum person sent me a note that there are other bands that will fit charge  watches. I have to remove the existing bracket first. Thanks for your reply.

@123steve why would you need to remove a bracket? If you choose a band that is intended for the Charge 5, it should work without any modification to the device.
