I've been wearing an apple watch for the last few years in all my workouts and I decided to move to the Fitbit 5. What I have found in my workouts since I got it last week is it's understating my HR I'd say by 20-30. I made sure it was tight, so I'm not sure what else it could be. I just updated the version to 20001.142.37. I'm really surprised by the inaccuracy.
Ideas?
Best AnswerUnfortunately when it comes to wrist HRM fitness trackers, they are not always going to be accurate. I know with Apple watches, they are being stated they are the more accurate brand out there. Yet in my own experiences/testing with chest HRM and Apple Watch and Fitbit (not the charge 5 yet, just got mine yesterday) they are pretty close for the most part. Apple was always ahead tho. I like Fitbit for the app, more than anything else.
Best AnswerI agree on the Fitbit app, but I wasn't expecting the HRM to be that inaccurate. I was doing a bike workout and it was saying my HR was 109 which I knew was off because I would have expected around 130-135.
