Heart rate color-coded display?

I am looking to buy a new fitness tracker. The Charge 5 seems to be what I need - with one possible exception. The numbers on the display of my recently-departed tracker (an extremely cheap Apple Watch knockoff) would change color during a workout to indicate what “zone” my heart rate was in. I have gotten very attached to that feature. I understand that the Charge 5 can display my actual heart rate during exercise, but there is something incredibly helpful about seeing the colors vs. trying to remember the correct numbers while I’m working out.

From what I can tell, Fitbit doesn’t offer this feature. Please tell me I’m wrong? This seems like it shouldn’t be very complicated?

The colour changes from blue to one green line when I hit my custom threshold.
I am at a total loss to understand why I can't be notified at that point.
My HR rises so quickly I am sometimes in the red zone before I am even aware I'm over AT

Hello @Betzy428

It sort of does. When I do a work out, heart rate is displayed and there is a four quadrant indicator highlighting whether I am in fat burning, cardio or peak zone. So no colour change, but another indicator.

It sort of does on the default clockface ... not great but the best I can find.
If you tap the face to get the heart settings, the scale up the left side does change colour.
May be more helpful in the warmer weather when it is more visible but is currently hidden under several layers of clothing ... FB need to answer the call.  So many of us need to see/hear immediate notifications when we move into the next zone!

Good to know. I’ve decided to give it a try and will return if it doesn’t work out. But, man, those color changes have been really helpful. For some reason, my brain doesn’t like to have to think too much when my heart rate is too high…
