I have several watches - Apple Watch, 2 Garmins, and a chest strap I can use with the garmins. While doing my daily runs my heart rate averages around 115 with all of the above.
However, with my Charge 5 it always reads above 200. I have worn it tight, loose, both wrists. I have worn it high on my wrist, low on my wrist. No difference.
Have others had this problem? The hr while running is not consistent, it is consistently 80 or more points too high.
This happens only when I am exercising. My resting heart rate is between 52 and 55 no matter what watch I wear.

Hi, thank you for sharing this information about the inconvenience you've been experiencing with your Charge 5 and that you already tried a few steps to improve the accuracy, @allan473.
In addition to the steps you mentioned earlier and the recommendations mentioned in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information, I recommend that you try restarting the device again using the three pulse restart method mentioned here below, instead of the restart option found on the Charge 5 itself:
Hope this helps, I'll be around.
