How do I see my active minutes not AZM on my Charge 5?

I still want to know my active minutes (actual exercise), not just the "zone minutes".  Please add this feature back.

You can still see them on fitbit.com dashboard.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Yes @Jodip269 , as @JohnnyRow  says, you can see them on the dashboard or in the App.

Here's a screenshot of some of mine for today.  The number of minutes by the stopwatch is the actual real time amount of minutes and the Zone Minutes are shown at the right under calories.

I hope that helps a bit.

Doesn’t show up on mine… they got rid of active minutes… ready to throw this thing in the bin!

Did you even read my reply above?

Yes. I have to log into the website for those stats. It’s better than nothing, I found it but they should put it back in the app on iPhone… would be a lot easier, but as I said it’s better than nothing.

Ok, finally found it in the app. It’s under the exercise part, not dashboard like it used to be… all good. Will make it a lot easier to monitor

Thank you for this info.  Glad this is still in the app.  Searching around in the app I totally missed that nice little weekly sum.  Thanks again.

To me, AZM are just vanity sizing for exercise.  I want to know how much actual time I spent exercising, not some bogus calculation meant to give a false sense of accomplishment.

We really shouldn’t have to log into the Fitbit site to get that info… why not just include both in the app? Why have an app, if it’s only going to give us half the info? Just a thought…

@c64tm   @Missmelba   The American Heart Association, CDC, and WHO changed their activity recommendation over four years ago.  All three recommend 150 min/wk of moderate activity or 75 min/wk of vigorous activity or a combination of the two.  The CDC published target heart rate zones for moderate and vigorous activity.  The heart rate zones for active minutes are out of date.  This is why Fitbit makes it hard for you to find them.

Active minutes don't always equal exercise minutes.  You must do 10 minutes of activity in that defunct fat burn zone to start accruing active minutes.  You can stop accruing them if your activity level drops off.  Active zone minutes aren't vanity sizing for exercise.  They are consistent with the current recommendations.

Hi @LZeeW .  While recommendations are good to have, depending upon the source, the Active Zone Minutes are misleading.  I can get 'credit' towards 'activity' cooking dinner with my heart rate having only increased slightly from resting rate as I move about the kitchen and stir things.  I can go out for an hour run and have a consistent heart rate average and get anywhere from 60 minutes to 150 minutes of Active Zone Minutes.  This is what I mean by vanity sizing for exercise.  I am getting credit for more time than I actually spent exercising.  There seems to be very little correlation between heart rate and 'activity' as reported via AZM, or between recognized activities (i.e. running, cycling) and what is reported by AZM.  Giving people a false sense of having done more exercise than they actually do is not helpful.  A much better metric would be to report actual time spent doing moderate and doing vigorous activities (two separate results).

Hi Johnny - you seem to be a great resource!  Please help me as well....my charge 5 accurately tracks steps, so that's great!  But i want to see the simplest was of looking at the number of minutes I walk each day.  I guess I don't care too much about cardio vs fat burning, etc.  Is there a best "at a glance" way of checking from my watch face??  many thanks!!!
