When I am out, the charge 5 vibrates - how do I turn the screen on to see what the message is?
is there a display setting to automatically turn display on when there is a notification?
(I must say, I have never met a gadget with less clear instructions!!!)

Swipe to the left on your display and it should say notifications or just lift your wrist 😊

Thanks – but I should have been a little clearer.

How do I arrange for the display to be turned on automatically when a message or notification comes through?

I am very new to fitbit, and must admit I have never found a gadget to have such poor instructions!!!

When cycling, I get little buzzes on my wrist.

Turning my wrist does not turn the display on.

Therefore I need both hands to swipe to see what is going on.

I cannot use both hands without falling off the bike.

Therefore – is there a way of getting the display to automatically come on when a notification comes through?

Hello @fatandflabby

You can set the display to Auto and it should turn on when you turn your wrist (or raise it).

From the main clock face screen, scroll down and you should come to Screen Wake, tap it to set it to Auto.  Also make sure that DND and Sleep Mode are set to Off.

I hope that helps.

Thanks! That was helpful.
I had already done that.
It seems to take a fairly forceful upward arm movement to work.
- and even then only 50% of the time 😞
