How to remove Fitbit Pay from watch interface? Charge 5

Fitbit Pay doesn't support any of my bank so it's just a useless icon that leads to unnecessary scrolling each time I wanna activate "do not disturb" mode or water lock.

 

Reading on the internet I'm not alone, it seems hardly anyone in the world can make use of Fitbit Pay so I wonder why is there no option to disable/remove it?

I wanted to let you know that this has been shared with the team so they can look into it. Although they're aware of it, they may not be able to provide a fix in the immediate future and  they'll continue to monitor the situation. Hi, thank you for your inquiry regarding the option to remove the Fitbit Pay from Fitbit device, @billion_steps.  

 

Unfortunately it's not possible for the moment to remove the Fitbit Pay option from the Charge 5. I recommend that you vote for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestion board of the Community, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers: Make the Wallet app removable on all Fitbit devices

Are you serious? This can't be removed? My watch is going off every 30 seconds, saps my battery in less than a day, and it won't accept a my cards when I tried to add them and just not use it only to stop the notifications! it's been a constant problem for years on the forums. There's no way you can convince me that this isn't an app that you can't program to toggle on or off or just totally opt out of.

Had I known about how f’ed up this charge 5 is I would have searched for a used Charge 3.  It counted stair fights and didn’t run my battery down with the constant wallet notifications.

I use my Fitbit first as a watch, then to track my steps and sleep.  About a third of the time I want to check the time, the watch face is displaying something about payments, steps, i.e., everything except the time.  So I swat at it.  After the first swat I start swearing because I know it's going to take another half dozen swats, up down, right, left, tap tap on the face, up, down, right, left, etc. before I finally see the time.  Customers swearing at your product is probably not good.  And no, I do not want to study and learn the magic combination of swats and taps to make my watch perform it's #1 purpose.  This is my fourth Charge so I'll keep swatting and swearing but other ppl might not be so forgiving.  To whatever degree your designers use these forums, that's my two cents.

Please be clear to your development team that this is not just obnoxious it is a true safety hazard. Within two days of getting her new charge 5, my mother was in a car accident because of this notification. It is seriously dangerous and needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

Fitbit Pay keeps notifying me every 60 seconds that I need to add a card to the "wallet". How is this good for my health and wellbeing if I am constantly annoyed by my health tracker! HOW DO I TURN THIS OFF? If these shenanigan continue I'm done with Fitbit forever. Please help.

This is not an acceptable " solution"
I'm getting notifications to " add a card" ever 1o minutes, sometimes more
