There is only restart option under Settings.
Please tell me the Fitbit Development team didn't forget to build a feature that every modern device has.
Use cases include:
- Long term storage
- Selling the device
- Saving battery due to extended periods without electricity in rural areas
Fitbit puts that feature on some, but not all of its devices. I've used several different trackers and have never seen a shutdown feature. The option seems to be let the battery run down.

Best AnswerI recently bought one and was looking for a way to turn it off. Couldn't find. I had high hopes but I could only use it for 2 runs coz I can't turn it off or even pause the steps count.
I usually ride on bumpy roads (even when going to running track) and it counts as steps.
I believe fitbit (charge 5) is Not a good fit for anybody who uses any kind of vehicle. Can't even do transporting..
I hear Samsung watch has the feature to turn off and pause step-counts too. I plan to buy one of those.
