If Resting Heart Rate isn't recorded overnight, then no HR readings all day?

My Charge 5 insists on taking resting heart rate only at night. AND if for some reason it dosnt record one, then I cannot get any HR info all day.  This seems like a bug.  Can we look forward to this being resolved soon?
