Ty. When I drive I get alerts that my HeartRate goes to 156 and it says I’m walking but I’m actually driving. It does this often
Best AnswerThanks for the additional info @Poties
From the posts I've read, our Fitbits can sometimes record "steps" during a drive. Some users noted that if the road is especially bumpy, their devices will detect the movement as "steps".
I've had this happen during my travels from Northern California to Southern California. I've looked at my Charge 5 while at a rest stop and was surprised to see steps when I had been in the car the whole time. I've also earned zone minutes when my heart rate went up during the drive, especially driving in traffic or in construction zones. Driving next to a big rig on a narrow road with sharp curves will get my heart racing.
I hope this might help explain what you are seeing on your Charge 5 during drives. If not, please share more details and we'll see if we can help.
