I have been getting inconclusive results for my ECG. Last taken was 16 May 22  I have tried restarting the device, installing and uninstall the ECG app.

@Baybeemon   This Help article has a list of reasons why you might get an inconclusive result.  The first three things I would check are

  • Make sure the back and rim of the Charge 5 are clean.  Fitbit recommends using alcohol to clean the charging contacts.  I use alcohol on a cotton pad (damp, not soggy) to clean my Fitbits.
  • Make sure you are really resting your arm on a table.
  • Don't squeeze too tight.  If your arm really isn't at rest or you squeeze too tight, you get a noisy trace.

@Baybeemon   Squeezing too tight causes muscle activity in that hand.  Muscle activity causes the noisy trace.

I have found that I have to squeeze very hard to get a good ecg. That was not true for the first 2 weeks I had the watch.
