My previous post was about the distance and HR metric being quite off. I did not get any replies and wonder if everyone else has dead on metrics.
In terms of set up, I bought my wife a Charge 5, now thinking maybe no such as good move. Anyway was setting her phone up an when it asked to type in the code, but the code was on my watch, not hers. . This seems to be a flaw and perhaps a bad one. For me to set up her phone I had to distance my watch so her phone could not detect it.
Interesting
Best AnswerThat is possible, that is why a code is sent out, so the user may confirm that the watch found the proper watch.
The app will respond with the first watch it finds. How does the app know that you are not giving your watch to your wife?
Best AnswerIt would seem that if a watch is linked to a phone, it should not respond. Just my thinking. Really messed things up. I had to do a factory reset to get mine to work properly.
Best AnswerThe watch is linked to a Fitbit account, and paired (by the fitbit app) to a phone.
As a trusted device, the watch does not stay connected to a specific phone, but connects when needed.
