I recently noticed an update in the app and my fit bit charge 5 which has been working fine (not yet 2 years old) then died, then starting doing the death loop I guess it’s called with logo coming on and off but nothing else. Customer support (after trying the 2 reset methods) says, “sorry nothing else we can do. Here’s 30% off a new Fitbit”. Is this common? Is anyone else having issues? I was wondering if this was like the situation where apple was slowing down phones to force people to upgrade before they got busted.

My Charge 5 died completely on July 6, I have been trying to get answers / solutions / replacement since then. I have tried all the recommended fixes, nothing works.My unit was 16 months old, it should not have expired, just like so many others on this forum. Fitbit / Google stand up and take responsibility for the damages you have caused. Replace at no cost to your loyal customers, all the non functioning Charge 5 trackers. Show that you are a reputable company.
