Lost data for three days

I sent my charge 2 with a crack on the face for a replacement and was sent a charge 3 in two weeks.  I set it up and saw that the display was very dim, so I was given a 50% off on a new tracker.  I used the 3 until it came in about 9 days and then set up my 5.  The 3 recorded my data for all but the 3 days before I set up the 5.  Where is that data?

Hi @gramma ,

Did you attempt to sync your device at all for those 3 days?  Devices can store data up to a week (I think) but the data won't show up until the device is synced to your app.

I don’t sync every day although I have the app set to sync every day, but
it never has, but I have never gone 7days without syncing in the ten years
I’ve used Fitbit. It must have had something to do with the fact that I
had just returned my old Charge 2 with a cracked face and two weeks later I
got the Charge 3 they sent, so there were 14 days there where I didn’t have
a tracker, but when the 3 came, I set it up, but it had a brightness
problem (quite common, I learned) so when I contacted Fitbit about it, they
offered me 50% off of a new tracker, but didn’t need the 3 sent back, so
when I got the Charge 5, I set it up and it has continued my history except
for the last three days I was using the Charge 3. Go figure?

Did you wear the Charge 3 during the time you were waiting for the Charge 5?

Yes, I did and it recorded the first 4 days, but not the last 3. I guess
it’s not a matter of life or death, but I keep track on a spread sheet
yearly. I lost the two weeks waiting for the Charge 3 replacement as I had
to send the Charge 2 back. I’ll just estimate it at 4 miles a day which is
my goal. Not bad for an 83 year old, huh?
