I am surprised it took this long, but I have lost my Charge 5. I imagine it is somewhere along the trail I ran today. the band repeatedly disconnects from the watch face. Most times I catch it.
My question is, this evening sitting at home I was able to update my data for today on my iPhone. Now is that because the phone is near (now) or because while I was running (hours ago) the phone and watch were together?
I used a "Find my Fitbit" app to locate it and the app took me to our television receiver under the television in a room which I did not enter today. On the app screen it read, "Device: YamahaAV."

Hello @VWrunner
If you had your phone as a connected device in the Fitbit app, I believe that's where the your data is coming from. The Fitbit app has the option to add your phone to track steps and exercise when you're not wearing your Fitbit device.
