My Charge 5 stopped working/synching. I had to delete the app then seemingly had no option except to permanently migrate my account to Google. Which involved giving all sorts of consent, including access to my data, I didn’t want to but had no option to if I wanted to continue. This is just not right. And my watch is still not working.
I recently similarly had to migrate my NEST systems to Google. Both Fitbit and NEST were wonderful independent companies with fantastic customer support. Google is a black box that has far too much personal information about me. Yes I have given permission for this to happen but I had no choice.

So even after the migration there were still issues with syncing? I have owned various Fitbits over the years, and all of a sudden, my device won’t sync so I’ve lost at least a week’s worth of data. I keep having to add my device, then it disappears. I thought if I switched to the Google account that would fix it, but I’m not comfortable with all of those permissions. If it’s still not working, it looks like I’ll have to give up on Fitbit because what’s the use of paying for services that you can’t use? Your comment really helped me this morning.
