My Fitbit Charge 5 is experiencing a familiar issue. To say I am disappointed in the FitBit brand is an understatement! This is my third fitbit, the previous two died in similar ways, unfortunately this fitbit did not live as long as the first two. Tell me, is there an intentional programmed software bug in these devices designed to make them fail so we continue to upgrade? I am over this brand and if my fitbit cannot be fixed I will NOT ever buy a fitbit device again.
Current issue:
Fitbit battery drains.
Fitbit will not charge.
Fitbit thinks it is charged and then drains to 1% in less than 5-minutes
Fitbit screen is black.
Fitbit only lights up for ~3seconds when placed on the charging unit.
Fitbit life = not quite 2 years old.
My mood = Extremely frustrated and feeling deceived by the fit-bit brand.
Has Fitbit even considered mass recall?

Your Fitbit will most likely work fine if and when they take responsibility for releasing a faulty firmware update and release a new update to fix these issues.

I've had very similar recent experiences that ultimately feel like intentional product failure/sunsetting that is infuriating.
This is my last Fitbit, I can't support products that can't even last 2 yrs, have limited warranty time and create failed experiments on their devices that ultimately cost buyers more and more money.
No more, keep your **ahem**ty half measure discounts, Polar watch...here I come

The moderators even don't do anything to the flood of posts regarding this problem, so I think Google is deliberately letting Fitbit to die slowly. They even did not acknowledge the problem to the news outlet months ago, and until today they haven't released official statement regarding the problem. No, I'll never consider Fitbit products again, and you should too

Since Google bought Fitbit and since Google is invested in the AI being used in committing genocide Ibwill never buy a product made by them and encourage everyone else to not support a hideous company. Plus you’re right, the product sucks. We can make better use of our resources.
