My original Charge 5 unit, minus the straps, was replaced under warrantee in December 2022. Shortly after, the bottom strap (not the one with the clasp) came undone. When it didn't resolve itself over the next few months and after trying another new strap, I contacted Fitbit support in April 2023, about 4 months after getting the replacement unit. I received an offer from fitbit. for a replacement watch at 30% off even though there was obviously a defect in the new replacement unit that they sent me. This simply isn't right. It appears that I am not the only charge 5 user who has experienced this problem. It is now November 2023 and my watch fell off 3 times so far today. it is unusual for the strap to not disengage at least once a day, usually while putting on or taking off a shirt, jacket or sweater. I know how to put it back together so it is not me, it is the replacement unit that is defective. I am not about to pay more $$$, even with a discount, for a replacement for a defective replacement. my case #49008598.
