My experience with Charge 5

Goodbye Fitbit and Charge. The crappy device goes into a coma when I need it, and doesn't sync when I want it to. This is on the Apple platform, BTW. I have experienced enough frustration to know when to quit. If other users are happy with it, good for them. It has been horrible for me. Unreliable. Stops when it wants to. Might sync, might not.

Hi there, @MyComputerMan. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the inconveniences you've been having with your Charge 5. We‘re taking your comments and sentiments in regards to our products and services into consideration.

To better assist you, would you mind providing me with more details regarding the issue you're having with your Fitbit device? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

You asked for more details.

When I pay over $100. for a product, I expect it to work.
Here is what happens about 50% of the time. This is a Charge 5 on an Apple Platform ( iPhone 16 Pro).
I’m wearing the device and decide to look at it for the time. It does not respond. Tap tap tap, nothing.
I realize it has gone into ‘coma’ mode, and will not wake until I put it on a charger.
I get home, put it on the charger, It restarts. It has not recorded any steps.
The device wakes up. Now to sync.
NOPE, it does not want to sync. No updates. I have read all the HELP posts, watched all the YouTube videos, and listened to all the other complainers about Charge and Fitbit app.
The other 50% of the time, it updates, and I can see my sleep pattern and my steps. These are what are important to me.
But there is no rhyme or reason this Charge 5 stubbornly refuses to sync or to remain active on my wrist.

I am giving you these details, but I am not going to go back to Fitbit and Charge. You have a product that works for me 50% of the time.
