This morning I was doing yard work and my fit bit showed over 2300 steps, but the hourly activity showed 0 steps. I reset the Charge 5 and the clock showed 7:59 when the actual time was 9:20. I reset it again and the clock did show the right time but I lost all my step data. This is a replacement Charge 5 for one that lasted 4 months and this one is now 2 months old. Why is this product so bad?

@Pgaltieri Sad to hear that you're not satisfied with your Charge 5.
Did you pay attention to completely synchronize your Charge 5's data with the Fitbit app before doing a reset on your device?

@Pgaltieri Thanks for your fast feedback. Your Charge 5 stores tracked data for several days if you don 't have the opportunity to synchronize with the Fitbit app meanwhile. If you reset your device due to malfunction, recently tracked data is lost unless synchronized before. Therefore it is good practive to always synchronize before doing a reset, so that tracked data can be uploaded to your Fitbit account.
What is kept during a reset, is your user data, bluetooth setting, Fitbit Pay configuration etc..

@Pgaltieri Most important is what your Fitbit app is showing because that represents the data that has been syncronized and uploaded to your Fitbit account.
I assume your Charge 5 had tracked 2 hours of Active Zone Minutes before you started to update Charge 5's firmware?! After the update your device was restarted and then has tracked another hour of AZM. Then, having syncronized, your Active Zone Minutes throughout the day were accumulated to those 3 hours the Fitbit app shows.
For me, everything seems to work like expected.

I recently had to reset my Fitbit and when I did, it lost my 163 day streak which made me angry. Then today, I updated the software and it lost my 8,000 steps I already had. I'm starting to feel like the Charge 5 was a mistake. Any thoughts on why this happens?
