Been looking hard at the Fitbit charge 5 but from past experience with their devices I am extremely hesitant. The last one, a charge 3, had its issues but like an untold number of them (LOTS) it packed it in just after a year. CS was miserably inadequate and I don’t recall anyone being offered anything other than a couple bucks off a new one. Even after paying to send it in to get checked.

 Now I read these and other forums and see their product quality has probably fallen even further. I really want to get one. Love the size and battery life but I swore off any Fitbit device before and read nothing that is swaying me back in their direction yet.

And on the 46th day they will have you spend 40-50 bucks on insured shipping to send it in so someone can glance at it and offer you 5 bucks off a new one. Thanks but all the reading points to no Fitbits in the near future.

No problem.  I'm fine with you no Fitbits in your future.  From your first post, I thought you were undecided and were asking for other thoughts, but I guess I misinterpreted, and you were actually telling that you had already decided.
