Charge 5 lost all activity data after restart

My Charge 5 would not sync with my phone (Google Pixel 4a) so, as Fitbit's online guide suggested, I restarted the watch. It took a long time to turn back on, and when it did, ALL my steps (5k-6k at the time) and other logged data was no longer saved in the watch, and since I couldn't sync it with the app, it all seems to be lost. Is there a way to retrieve it? I'm pretty upset about it considering how many times Fitbit goes out of their way to say restarting your watch won't wipe any of your data (in the guide, on the restart screen, etc).

Hello @lugosi_

Sorry to read you lost your data. There are no way to retrieve them unfortunately.

Losing data after a restart is rare, although it happens. I restarted my Fitbit a fair bit and it happened only once I lost all daily data.

After an hour of exercise, my Charge 5 said there was a problem syncing. I turned off Bluetooth, closed Fitbit app, reconnected and it still had a problem syncing after going through this twice. Following instructions, I restarted device. My steps are synced and App shows 844 calories burned and 0.76 miles, but exercise still not logged and it shows only 1 zone minute in the App but 58 zone minutes on my Charge 5. I have resynced, and I also replaced device in the App--still won't carry all info over from device to App.
