New Phone Calories Inaccurate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently got a new phone (not sure if this matters) and my Fitbit’s calorie count is very inaccurate. Previously a 30 minute run would burn about 350 calories now it says 130 calories.  HELP!

Hello @Jake30

I assume the Fitbit device is the same and the only things which has changed is the phone ?

If you compare your two runs, is the average BPM the same ?

Yes, the BPM’s are similar and nothing has changed other than syncing with
my new phone. --
Thank You, Jake.

Could you do two things ?

Could you please post two screen captures of the details of the two runs, the one with 350 cal and the one with 130 cal ?

Also could you please look through your personal settings that your age, sex, weight and height are not suddenly wrong ?

I just started using the 5 last week. I have had several fitbits prior to this.  Twice I rode the stationary bike for 65 minutes for over 14 miles and it said I burned 64 calories??

Hello @Llegohead

Same thing that I asked previously:

Could you please post screen captures of the details of the bike burning 64 calories ?

Also could you please look through your personal settings that your age, sex, weight and height are not suddenly wrong ?

@Llegohead, did you select the Spinning activity shortcut? I used a stair climbing machine at the gym without having added the Stairclimber shortcut to my fitbit and was awarded 8 calories for 30 minutes of effort. I'm planning to try the short cut next time as it didn't seem to like that I was exerting myself but not travelling anywhere.
