How do I change the date?  Mine is a couple days off

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @davidhmb

Thank you for sharing your inquiry about the Charge 5. 

The date and the time on your device should be updated once you sync it with the Fitbit app on your phone. You can find more information about this here. If the date is not being updated after you sync, please restart your device and try one more time.
