I got a my charge 5 for my 40th in Feb. Few weeks ago when on holiday all of a sudden the battery started playing up and my fitbit eventually died (first I thought it was cause I was in the water lots. Little did I knew that it was a day after this big siftware update came out). To me, the result is the same, fitbit is dead, Its not charging, I cannot use it.Contacted customer service (through chat then email) and I was sent these magic steps to trouble shoot. Fitbit still dead , cannot do a single thing on it and customer service disappeared in the thin air... they did not reply to my chaser email either. I recharged my good old Xiaomi watch. Funny is that even if I have a relatively expensive fitbit which I should get fixed or replaced under warranty I assume the only thing I could do with it now is to put in the bin as customer service is just not available to sort my faulty one out. (I wish my husband would of done more research about this watch) At least my £30 worth Xiaomi is still working fine after 2 yrs (just not looking that fancy of course) Very sad.. Happy 40th to me, I guess.. 😞 . Anyone in the same shoes as me?

Yes! The same here. Purchased my Charge 5 in February 2022. As of late Wednesday night. Only the Fitbit logo on my watch and now nothing. Shows battery at 52% since Wednesday. No answer in chat and no answer on the phone line! Very frustrating there is no customer service to help with this issue on a 6 month old watch.

Wonder where I could take it forward as they are violating consumer rights by not assisting to fix faulty items when in warranty.

Just realised, maybe its worth starting a chargeback, in which case the retailer is forced to reply to the bank (or fix our fitbits) since these devices are well over £100.

@liliannn82 I was considering creating a warranty claim for the battery draining problem. After reading the warranty, I discovered that software is not warranted to work. I never had this luxury for software that I developed.
Fitbit does not warrant that the operation of the Product will be uninterrupted or error-free. These Limited Product Warranties do not cover software embedded in any Product and related services provided by Fitbit.
