Notification while running at each km

Hi Community,

I hope you can help me with this one.

I remember that my Charge 6 used to show me a popup screen at each km completed, while running. The screen was displaying the number of progressive km (e.g. KM 1, KM 2, etc.) + the time needed to complete it. It popped up and disappeared after few seconds.

I must have disabled that option somehow, since I get no longer shown that popup while running. Is there a way I can resume it again? Can you please support on it?

Thank!

Hello LZeeW, it looks like I finally managed to solve the mistery: the option is not available among the Fitbit menus, but it is present inside the app. I could activate it again by selecting Running in the app shortcuts. Not easy to find it, but I'm quite confident I might have had disabled it while messing around with the app, after one of the latest updates.

Hello @ale.mo and welcome to the Community.  Go to the settings that are in the Run shortcut.  These are the settings where you can set a goal, etc.  Look for the Laps option.  You can set a distance there.

Are you meaning on the fitbit or on the app?

I can't seem to find those settings anywhere. 😞

@ale.mo   On the Fitbit.  This is from the Charge 6 manual:

  • Swipe to the Exercise app (on the Charge 6) and tap to open
  • Swipe up to find Run and tap on it
  • Swipe up to get to your Run Settings
  • Look for the Laps option

Unfortunately the only options I have are:

- Cardio zone notification

- GPS

- Run detection

- Automatic pause

- Display always on

No laps option is visible. How is it possible?

EDIT: sorry, I just noticed I posted in the wrong section. I own a Charge 5, not a Charge 6. Feel free to move this thread to the right section and sorry for the inconvenience. Still, can you please provide support on how to reach the Laps option?

On Charge 6:

Edit: just noticed you corrected the model to Charge 5, not sure if it looks any similar to this.

Thanks Triletics!

On Charge 5 the Set laps option is not present unfortunately. This is making me crazy, since I'm sure I used to have that option active on my Charge 5 till some months ago. No idea how it disappeared.

Hope that someone's able to help me with this.

@ale.mo   That is very strange, because it's listed as a feature in the Charge 5 manual.

I moved this thread to the Charge 5 forum.

Yep, it is a feature for sure. As said earlier, my Charge used to display it till some months ago. I must have disabled it somehow and now I can't seem to find how to get it back again.

@ale.mo   Can you check other shortcuts?  Fitbit has Lap options on shortcuts where you might track laps or splits, like Walk.  But on my Sense 2, it's an option on shortcuts where you don't count laps, like Golf, Weights, and Yoga.  If it's missing, then there might be a firmware problem.  There's nothing that you could have done to make it disappear.
