Notifications are not coming through my Charge 5

I can no longer receive alerts for text messages or phone calls since just before big update. I thought big update would help. It has not. I've restarted phone and fitbit. Nothing. I.scan for bluetooth devices to pair and my charge 5 doesn't come up. What's up Fitbit?

Hi there, @Roze70. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Charge 5 is still not receiving notifications despite the steps you've done so far, I understand where yoru concern is coming from. I'll do my best to help you with this.

As a first approach, I'd recommend checking whether your Charge 5 is in sleep mode. When sleep mode is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist. To wake your tracker, firmly tap the screen twice.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in quick settings.

If the above doesn't describe your issue, please see Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones and/or Why are notifications delayed or missing? depending on your phone.

On a side note, I'd recommend double checking whether your Charge 5 was properly updated. Please make sure it's already running version 1.194.91. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > Devices > your device image. The firmware version number appears under your device's name. For more information, see How do I update my Fitbit device?

No, this didn't answer my question. I tried all the things you suggested before coming here to see if it's a problem or if anyone had something different to try. I feel like this is Fitbits way of making us upgrade to a newer model 😡
