I record a relatively short walk every day using the Exercise function, and monitor my average 'pace' during the walk. [I should also note that I hate Fitbit's use of the word 'pace' in this misleading way.]
I've noticed for some time that - even though I start the exercise while walking - the average 'pace' is significantly high (ie the speed is too low) for the first few minutes. After some time of course the value converges to the genuine speed as the initial error is swamped by the later readings.
I presume this obvious anomaly is either caused by granularity in the start time (eg to the minute before) or possibly some issue with GPS capture, but it's annoying and doesn't engender confidence in the Charge5's other figures.
Anyone got an idea what's really going on?
