Fitbit charge 5 just over a year old, and the red light has come on and not working properly, charge drains out. Have tried re set options. The watch was a gift from late father who passed earlier this year so don't have the receipt, any options??

I am also having this issue, the red light came on the back of my Fitbit 2 days ago and is running down my battery.

Based on reading all the community posts there are several other users experiencing this issue. Responses to community posts from Fitbit/google have suggested the following:

- check for a firmware update (although some users say their red light issue started after the update).

- restart your Fitbit (three presses of the charger button while connected).

- Resync, or disconnect/reconnect Bluetooth.

- I have also tried to run battery out entirely a few times with the hope that it will reset automatically.

None of the proposed solutions have worked for me, and like others I cannot find any way of contacting customer support aside from posting here. Which is deeply frustrating and a problematic as a way to run a business.

I purchased my Fitbit after a previous Fitbit stopped working in 2023 so am out of the 1 year warranty period.

I am a Fitbit user since 2016 and would like a real solution/ way of contacting customer service that does not just lead me back to the community pages.

I was having this issue earlier today when I realized my Fitbit seemed to be bricked (started out with the "X" screen). Ended up with red light on bottom, etc. After several restarts over a couple hours using the power cord button I eventually got to the point the device is starting back up now and has a working screen after I reinstalled the clock face. But none of the sensors seem to be working and I have the green LED stuck on now. I think it's the pulse sensor trying to work. Not really an improvements since the battery will quickly run down with that staying on. Also the accelerometer is not working. Steps are not being counted and the screen will not auto-activate when I turn my wrist.
