REcalibration target load in Fitbit

Recently my charge5 calibrated my target/heart load. Unfortunately, this happened to be in a week without any exercise (holidays, family circumstances etc). So now my fitbit has made a calibration in which almost every walk/bike/run (whatever) is calculated as 'too much of an excercise...' Is it possible to REcalibrate my fitbit during a normal week, to get a normal assessment of my workouts?

Hello @TineWinkel

If you can be patient and ignore the "too much exercise" notification, the target load will eventually recalculate as described in this help page (<-- click link).

Although I'm not sure that this will work for what you want to do, the only other option that I can think of would be to delete your Cardio Load data. If you want to try this:

  • Tap on your picture in the upper right of the Today page in the Fitbit app
  • Tap on Your data in Fitbit in the menu that opens
  • Scroll to Data and features in the page that opens and tap on Delete options
  • Under Activities, swipe up to Cardio Load and tap on it
  • Select the option that you want to use, either Delete all cardio load data or Delete a custom range
  • Confirm the data deletion
  • Use the back arrows to return to the Today page

Please let us know what you decided to do and the outcome.

Thx for your reply/solutions! I decided to remove the last 6 weeks of hart
load data, but the systems reply was that my request is under ... (sorry,
forgot the explanation) and that it might take 2 months before it will be
effective?! Weird! I 'll wait to see what happens the next days, tbc.

Added: it worked, no heart load mentioned, fitbit tells me to wait 7 days for an accurate reading 🙂

Hello @TineWinkel

Thanks for the update. Now we know that deleting some of the cardio load data helps to reset the target load. 👍
