Resetting baseline heart rate?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When I got my Charge 5, I was taking medication that lowered my heart rate. I am no longer taking it, in part because it was keeping my HR in the 40s. So now that my resting HR is higher, like high 60s-low 70s, my Fitbit thinks I'm doing like 12 hours of fat burning exercise every day from just normal daily activity (teaching, cleaning house.) How can I reset my baseline without deleting all my data? It's kind of annoying to get notifications all day "You're in the cardio zone!" because I carried a full laundry basket up the stairs for 15 seconds.

Hello @sheddy714 and welcome to the Community.  I think your heart rate zones should correct themselves over the next week or so.  I can't give you an exact time frame, because the heart rate algorithms are proprietary (secret).  Do you want to turn off those notifications?  I don't have a Charge 5, but I know that the Charge 5 will notify you of the changes with everyday activity -- and they are on by default.  According to this Help article, open the Settings app on the Charge 5 screen > Heart Zone Notifications > and toggle it off.
