IMG_4721.pnghow is my resting heart rate for today 56 when I’ve only spent a few minutes out of 8 hours above 55? For someone who struggles with hypochondria, the RHR calculation is maddening and reaching out to customer support seems to be a total waste of time.

Different sources have different ideas of exactly how to define "resting heart rate". All fitbit says is, from How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device? :

Fitbit does not reveal how they calculate RHR, but it obviously is not just based on overnight heart rate.  The way to use the RHR as calculated by Fitbit is to look at trends, rather than trying to figure out how an individual number was calculated.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
