First off, let me start by saying that I did not want a Charge 5. I had no intention of buying a Charge 5. When I sent my Charge 4 (that I loved! Loved!) in as an exchange due to technical problems, Fitbit decided to send me a Charge 5 back.
I literally don't see a point to this device. If I wanted a spiffy smart watch, I would have bought one. I loved my Charge 4 because it was simple, sturdy, and pretty much bare bones. All the software had a purpose and there wasn't anything unnecessary.
Now with the Charge 5, I'm missing my stairs, I'm missing my weather, I'm missing the simple and functional layout. Hell, I'm missing my plain Jane clock face. Literally the only thing better on this device is the "find my phone" application, which could have been achieved with a software update on my Charge 4.

If I understand you correctly, it sounds like you want to know if you can roll back the software on a Charge 5 to Charge 4 software, correct?
If that's the case, I don't know of an option to do this.
