Hi, I am wondering if the Fitbit charge 5 can track running laps, I know the Fitbit sense can but I don’t know if the charge 5 can.

For example: I run at a track regularly, and I want to see how many laps I ran because I don’t keep track of how many laps I run.
thanks

@ShadowNinja   Lap counting on the Charge 5 isn't as customizable as lap counting on the Sense/Versa 3.  The Charge 5 only has automatic lap counting.   if you run on a 400m track, then automatic lap tracking will work.  There is a 0.4 km lap available.  The shortest mile option is 0.5 miles.  It doesn't have the Manual lap option like the Sense/Versa 3.  Manual lap count on the Sense/Versa 3 looks like this:

Versa 3 manual lapVersa 3 manual lap

You tap the top icon as you complete a lap.  The Charge 5 doesn't do this.

I'm fairly sure the Charge 5 can count laps the same ways as the Sense, but that might not be what you expect.  You set what a "lap" is.  It can be measured in miles, km, minutes, or calories.  If you select miles, the smallest unit is a half mile.  If you run on a quarter mile track, that would be easy enough to figure out, but don't be thinking that it's something that you can tap each time you cross some point to mark a lap.

I didn't even realize you could tap for laps; maybe I should find out what I am talking about before answering.
