So,I currently own Charge 5,I've had it for a bit,so I'm looking to upgrade maybe to a Sense 2,then I read that Fitbit is being discontinued in other places other than the US market. So I have a question,do even bother looking for a new Fitbit device if the line will be discontinued? I don't want to waste money if the brand won't be around in a year. I actually like my charge 5 and had a charge 4 for a while before it.

That's interesting news... where did you read about the discontinuation of Fitbit outside U.S.? But even if the news is true, I don't think that support to devices already sold outside U.S. will be immediately dropped. It wouldn't make any sense for them since it will decrease our trust towards Fitbit, decreasing potential buyers, thus decreasing profit.
If I were you, I'd probably just hold on to my C5 until it fails, while assessing the development of new Fitbits and their availability outside U.S.. Just be aware of the situation right know regarding C5.

I was actually looking for reviews for other fitbits and stumbled upon it. Then I searched Fitbit being discontinued and it stated Google was discontinuing the product in 28 countries. You are right the support will def stay, but next year log in will be via Google instead of fit bit. I'm in the US and it's still being sold here, but in another article the author stated that Google wanted to phase out Fitbit to promote the Pixel style smart watches. I'm not sure how true this is and thats why I asked in my first post.

I did a quick Google and yes, you are right, the news was off my radar. The "Fitbit's phasing out to align with Pixel's regional availability" statement came from a Google spokeperson to multiple news sites, so I guess it's true and official until they say otherwise. Unfortunately, Google doesn't have Google Store in Indonesia, so I won't bet I'd buy a Pixel watch pretty soon unless they are true with their vision to expand the Pixel's availability.
To answer your original question, yeah now I'm unsure too about future Fitbit generations so I can't give you suggestions, but I have decided to jump off the Fitbit wagon for now and try my luck elsewhere. Maybe if the direction is reversed in the future I might reconsider going back to Fitbit (because so far I like the quality), but for the time being I see the chances are dim.
