I have my 2nd charge 5. My first broke because of new firmware update. Fitbit keeps asking me to update firmware but I'm nervous. I do not want same problem. Is It Safe to update now. Also won't sync unless I restart phone every time.

Look at the other posts. Chances are that the update will damage your charge 5, probably like your first experience, and then the solution from Fitbit will be to sell you another (not Charge 6) at a slightly discounted price. Be careful.
The comment below "I recommend updating your Charge 5, if you have any situation once you've updated it, let me know, so you we will help you with it." looks like the trap that affected a lot of us.
