I have the charge 5 for a few months now. The sleep tracking function has always been an issue until the most recent firmware update. Occasionally, it may not calculate the sleep score on the Apple App. By accident, I found out that the app could be confused by the data the tracker captured. The sleep score could be calculated after making a small change.
In my example, I did not fall asleep for 40 minutes. The app could not interpret the sleep data (photo 1). I deleted the sleep data on the app and reenter the sleep time manually. I simply ignored the period I did not fall asleep and started my sleep time at 12.40a. In the second trial, the app can calculate the sleep score (photo 2).
Can your programmer look at the algorithm of the app and see if you can figure how this can happen?
