My charge 5 recorded over 4000 steps while also recording that I was sleeping. I didn't sleepwalk. How can I trust any of the Fitbit data? Is there a fix for this? Wtaf?

Hi, it's good to see you around in the Fitbit Community Forums, @Fyrefairy.
Thank you for all the details about the inconvenience you experienced with your Charge 5 and your sleep information.
There are a few reasons why this could happen. If you're sleeping close to something that could emit a certain vibration, like a window, a fan or other type of machine. The only way to negate these extra steps would be to manually log a driving activity, as this would override the data tracked during that time.
In addition, please complete a three pulse restart and let me know if you continue to experience the same behavior afterwards:
If you continue to have this problem, let me know if you have MobileTrack installed on the Fitbit app. This feature allows you to record basic stats such as steps using your phone's sensors. That being said, if there was a fan or something vibrating nearby, that might be the reason why you receive these extra amount of steps. Assuming this is correct, I'd recommend removing it by doing the following:
